REFRESHMENT SERVERS CHECKLIST – HUBS
BEFORE DANCE:
1) Get key from refreshment chair
2) You will receive a reminder call on Wednesday before dance
3) Decide on punch - use your own recipe or club concentrate with water
and/or 7up ( 1 part concentrate to 5 parts liquid)
4) Decide on center piece and tablecloth (use your own cloth or club’s in
labeled container or on rolls – at least 144” long)
5) 7-10 lbs. of ice for punch and water jug
7:00 P.M. ARRIVE:
1) Bring supplies down: 2 large containers (marked dance night),
2 coffeepots, punch bowl, orange water jug, and pick a tablecloth - - You do not
have to bring other containers down. If you do need something else, take it out
of “extra supply” containers. (saves you carting other boxes downstairs). Also
extra cups, plates and napkins are in the big cardboard box next to cabinet
(marked Hubs)
2) Start coffee now – takes 45 min. to perk (30 cups decaf / 20 cups regular)
3) Arrange food on table (desserts by punch and others at beginning of line)
8:30 P.M. PREP TIME:
1) Please wash hands before handling food
2) Uncover food and retrieve food in refrigerator
3) Make punch (you will serve punch while people are in line)
4) Tell President that you are ready
5) Check table during serving (clear off empty plates, clean up spilled food,
refill plates)
6) Before cakewalk, put basket money in zippered bag, give to treasurer
10:00 P.M. CLEANUP:
1) Wash empty dishes, cover leftovers, and put them on an empty
round table
2) Leave punch and coffee out while doing #1
3) Wipe off round tables and tablecloths (if plastic, dry well before folding up
and if cloth tablecloth is dirty, either take home and wash or give to Karen)
4) Please dry club items well inside and air before closing them up – we have
plenty of towels
5) Pack up and take all club items upstairs – leave top shelf of cabinet open
6) Give key and wet towels to chairman and tell her of any low supplies (or you
can take towels home to launder)
7) Check kitchen sinks and counters for cleanliness
8) Thank you for serving – Perhaps you’d like to go into the catering business
!!!!
